Subject: Re: URGENT Planning Application Issues

Dear Mrs Shord

I response to your question re the 50 events:
I picked up this information for Section 3.3 of the Transport Statement and Section 3.5 of the Planning Statement which has been submitted as part of the application.
Whilst I would agree that the application is for a significant time period, I suspect this a ‘catch all’ so that morning or afternoon events could be catered for under the terms of their operating licence.
I know that there is no bus service through Gileston and never has been, and I also concur with you re the narrowness of the roads.

Although I emphasise and sympathise with the residents on a personal level , unfortunately the community council has already responded to the Vale council, and I do not know if that can be altered. I have copied in Cllr Acott into this correspondence as he is the current chairman of St Athan community council and may have more knowledge in these matters.

Regarding the Planning portal: Of course letters have as great a validity as electronic messages. The advantage of the portal is that any document received is displayed on line within a short timescale.
Access to the portal is through the Vale of Glamorgan website. If you go into the planning part there is a link through to the various applications. At that point search for, or enter the reference you have quoted and you can see all relevant documents and importantly “comment on this application”.

I hope this is of some help
